Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services

* Adult Intensive Substance Abuse Outpatient Services

Clinicians provide quality intensive substance abuse counseling to Chittenden County residents ages 18 years and older.

* Adult Mental Health Outpatient Counseling Program

Clinicians provide quality counseling, psychotherapy, and clinical consultation to Chittenden County residents ages 18 years and older.

* Adult Substance Abuse Outpatient Counseling Program

Clinicians provide quality substance abuse counseling to Chittenden County residents ages 18 years and older.

* CRASH Drinking Driver Assessments and Schools

CRASH Drinking Driver Assessments and Schools provide the screening process and referral following license suspension resulting from a drinking and driving conviction.

* Community Support Programs

Case Management Services (CSP) and Residential/Community Housing
Professional clinicians provide assessment; individual, group, and family counseling; case management services; vocational services; housing assistance; medication evaluation; prescription monitoring as well as information and referrals for adults (ages 18 years and older) diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness and who live in Chittenden County and meet the specific eligibility requirements set by the State of Vermont.

Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment Program
This is an outpatient program designed to provide fully integrated treatment and continuity of care and caregivers through time and setting to a vulnerable population with persistent mental illness, substance use disorders, and past or present correctional involvement, who are at high risk for relapse, for recurrence of symptoms of mental illness, and for re-arrest and incarceration.

Residential and Community Housing Programs
These programs (seven residential houses, three community housing sites, and a number of apartments) serve adults living in Chittenden County who are considered to be mentally ill.

Westview Employment Services
This is a vocational program intervention available to adults (ages 18 years and older) in Chittenden County who have been diagnosed with a major mental illness and have a desire to pursue employment.

Westview House
Westview House is a psychosocial, rehabilitation, recovery clubhouse located in Burlington serving adults (ages 18 years and older) in Chittenden County who have been diagnosed with a major mental illness.

* Crisis Services

ACT I
ACT 1/Bridge is a community-based alcohol and drug crisis stabilization and social detoxification program.

Bridge Program
The Bridge Program provides short-term stabilization and social detoxification in a non-medical setting for individuals who are experiencing alcohol or other drug abuse or dependence.

The ASSIST Program
The ASSIST Program is a crisis stabilization and hospital diversion program for any Chittenden County resident who is experiencing a psychiatric crisis.

Mobile Crisis Team
The Mobile Crisis Team provides immediate response to requests from individuals 18 and older (and their support systems) who reside in Chittenden County.

* Treatment Court Programs

Adult Drug Treatment Court (ADTC)
The Adult Drug Treatment Court (ADTC) is a four-part program for adults who have pled guilty to one or more non-violent, drug-related offenses and who are having or have previously had difficulty staying clean and sober.

Mental Health Court (MHC)
Mental Health Court (MHC) is a three-part program for adults who have been charged with one or more criminal offenses and who are having difficulty with severe and persistent mental health issues.

* The DETER Project for Women

The DETER Project for Women is an initiative that hopes to keep young women out of the criminal justice system.

* Medication Assisted Substance Abuse Treatment Programs

The Chittenden Clinic
The Chittenden Clinic provides methadone maintenance therapy for those with opioid dependence.

* Northern Lights Program

Northern Lights Program
This is a supportive home for women returning from prison.

* Professional Training Programs

The Addictions Academy on Co-Occurring Disorders
This is the clinical training program for Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services.

* Safe Recovery Support and Education Program

Safe Recovery
This program offers services to reduce the incidence of drug-related harm in Vermont among people who have used or are using heroin or other opiates or who have injected any drug.

* Street Outreach Team

The Street Outreach Team

This team provides a range of outreach and support services for persons in and around the downtown Burlington business district.

* Franklin/Grand Isle Substance Abuse Programs

Clinicians provide quality intensive substance abuse counseling to Franklin and Grand Isle residents ages 18 years and older.

Substance Abuse Outpatient Program
Clinicians provide quality individual and group substance abuse counseling to Franklin and Grand Isle residents ages 18 years and older.

Adolescent Substance Abuse Outpatient Counseling Program
Clinicians provide quality substance abuse counseling to Franklin and Grand Isle adolescents (ages 12 – 21 years).

Public Inebriate Program
The Public Inebriate Program (PIP) provides 24-hour-a-day screening services for individuals in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties to determine their level of incapacitation due to alcohol and other drug use.
